But what about India? Can the world's largest democracy throw up an Obama-like figure who cuts across the country's various and diverse divides?...and many more..

Lets first look into the diverse religious and castes our past presidents have come from..

Shri K R Narayanan (July 25, 1997-July 25, 2002) -A Dalit

Dr Zakir Hussain (May 13, 1967-August 24, 1969)

Justice Mohd. Hidayatullah (acting president in 1969)

Shri Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed (August 24, 1974-February 11, 1977)

Dr. A.P.J. Adbul Kalam (July 25, 2002-July 25, 2007) -A muslim

Shri Giani Zail Singh (July 25, 1982-July 25, 1987) - A sikh

Pratibha Patil (July 25, 2007-Present) -A women

and rest are Hindu men out of the 12+2(acting president) people who have been the (so called) head of state and the first citizen of India and supreme commander of the armed forces.

Now if we look into the person who has power in this country the head of the council of ministers referred to as the Prime minister.

Coming back to where we started, can India have a leader like obama?

Atleast will India get a leader like Bush. Though bush was known for his inefficient rule during his tenure, he was very successful in protecting the lives of the people in America. Post 9/11 the security measure which he incorporated has assured that such a kind of disaster doesn't happen again.

Does India having diverse cultures and practices be given as an excuse to the inefficiency of the security system in this country?I still don't understand why the present day journalists, the people who pave up the ideologies of the people talk crap in their reports.India is far from having dynamic leaders who can change the present scenario of the country.
